Mini Glass Nuggets · Bird Bath
Mini Glass Nuggets on a terracotta bird bath bowl

A garden project in Mini Glass Nuggets: a ripple spreading across a 47 cm terracotta bird bath bowl. 1037 nuggets are glued straight onto the terracotta, with no grout, in rings from the centre out, each nugget lying along its ring about 1.5 mm from its neighbours, so the warm clay shows between them. Mini Blue Opalescent at the centre gives way to Mini Turquoise and Mini Teal, with rings of Mini White Opalescent as the ripple's crests and Mini Teal and Mini Blue Opalescent alternating towards the edge. A ring of Mini Black Opalescent marks where the bowl turns into the rim, and the rim carries a ring of Mini Green and a ring of Mini Teal. The guide works ring by ring, with an actual-size strip for marking the rings inside the bowl.
